KJHK Radio Wars
Overview
The majority of this collection consists of letters, newspaper clippings and photographs that tell the story of a feud between faculty members at the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas who wanted control of KJHK radio station, and a group of students and ex-students, known as the "KJHK dissidents," who demanded KJHK remain under student control. The remainder of the collection chronicles the birth and eventual demise of a music festival called the "Megakegger" put on by the Committee for the Preservation of Wild Life in Lawrence.
