Topics in the letters include family, women, work, and health, among other interests. Main correspondents include W.S.'s brother J.H. [John] and his friend E.C. Montague.

Biography of W.S. Coverston
W.S. Coverston lived and worked in several small towns in Kansas (Pittsburgh, Oswego, Bartlett, and Argonia, for example). Some correspondence to him is also addressed to Golden City, Missouri.
