Biography of E. Jackson Baur (1913-2001)
Baur received his A.B. in 1935, his M.A. in 1938, and his Ph.D. in 1942, all in Sociology and all from the University of Chicago. He joined the faculty of the University of Kansas in 1947 in the Sociology Department, reaching full Professor status in 1959. He retired in 1983.
