Letter to William Shaw Mason

 Collection — Folder: 1
Call Number: MS P701

Overview

From Holles Street in Dublin, Ireland, Edward Litton (1787-1870), master of the Irish court of chancery and a member of Parliament for Coleraine, writes to William Shaw Mason (1774-1853), bibliographer and statistician, about Mason's interest in an illuminated missal. Litton confirms the missal's authenticity and offers it to Mason, who will care for and value it more than Litton himself does. There is a partial red wax seal attached to the letter.
