Author and Date: On verso of title-page: "A Mr de St Sauueur Officier en Regt. De Conty. en garnison a Marseille au Fort St Jean 1739." On first paste-down endpaper in same hand: "Ex Secretis D. De St Sauueur 1739."
Several sections are dated at end "1739. Fort St Jean"; one is signed "St Sauueur" as well.
Leaf [1] is the title-page. Leaves [2-3] regard "Pythagore etoit un philosophe..." [numerology] The bulk of the volume, leaves [4-45] contain receipts.
Leaves [46-82] are blank, and leaf [83] has a French bawdy verse. The pasteboard in back cover also contains 14 stanzas of French bawdy verse.
