Biography of Pedro Laynes, 1538?-1584
Pedro Laynes was a courtier (in the personal service of Don Carlos, the deranged son of Philip II, died 1568); poet; and friend of Cervantes. No work of his was published until 1950.
1 volume : Bound in tan goatskin (or calfskin), polished. Gilt rules and stamps on spine. 20th century. Foliated:[i-iii] 1-37 [iv-ix] (excluding 3 leaves of modern free end-papers). (The leaf-numbers are modern, perhaps by binder or bookdealer.) Text written in cancellaresca on paper support. ; 14.3 x 10.7 cm

The manuscript is continuously written. Items are numbered in this description for ease of reference only; no item numbers appear in the manuscript.
The following items apparently have not been published: 1, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, and 28.
Leaves i-ix are blank (except for some inky scratches); leaves 2v and 37 are blank.
Mixed Italian and Spanish: 24, 25, 26.
