Personal papers of Elmer Beth
Overview
Elmer Beth taught in the School of Journalism at the University of Idaho from 1932-1940 and the University of Kansas from 1940-1971. This collection consists of personal correspondence, diaries, class materials, and the obituaries of he and his wife. Much of the collection relates to his work while at the University of Idaho.

Biography of Elmer Beth
Elmer F. Beth received his A.B in 1927 and his M.A. in 1928, both from the University of Wisconsin and both in Journalism. He began teaching at the University of Idaho in 1932. He joined the faculty of the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas in 1940, reaching full Professor status in 1946. He died in 1970.
