Letter to Madame da Horta
Overview
D. Serpa Arevedo writes to Madame da Horta about a wonderful reception in Lisbon by the Queen [Maria II, 1819-1853] and King [Ferdinand, 1816-1885] and the common people. The writer confirms that the two dresses from Madame da Horta have been delivered to the Marchioness of Fronteira [D. Maria Constanca da Camara, 1801-1860] and to the Countess of Thomar [Luisa Mitchell Meredith Read, 1816-?] and that they are appreciative of the gifts.
