Overview
Book: official diary kept by the Pope's master of ceremonies. Chronological account of ceremonies attended by the Pope, both liturgical and political: includes minutes of consistories and conclaves, and of audiences with foreign and clerical dignitaries; texts of documents; liturgical texts; lists of qualified persons, duties, etc. Also contains notes of interesting events, deaths, etc., anecdotes, and some of Grassi's personal opinions. Dates Covered: May 26, 1504-August 26, 1506 (part of Pope Julius II); March 4, 1513-December 10, 1521 (entire reign of Leo X).
