1 volume : Binding: cloth binding, placed approximately 1900 (spine title: Manuscript Book). Ornamentation: Pages 409, 411: Two diagrams: La facon de camper un regiment regulierement. In black, green, and brown ink. Birds-eye view of camp-ground; positions represented by large and small trees only. In the second diagram, each soldier represented by a few lines. Tipped in before title-page: engraved portrait of Emperor Francis I as Duke of Tuscany [i.e. 1737-1745]: "Franciscus III Dei gratia Dux Lotharingiae et Secundus Magn: Dux Etr. Rex Ierusalem &c" Material: Paper. Volume in custom enclosure. Pages 1-407 numbered; pages thereafter are not but processor continued same numbering scheme for last items in volume. ; Volume measures no taller than 25 cm.

Tipped in before title-page: Engraving of "Franciscus III Dei gratia Dux Lotharingiae et Secundus Magn: Dux Etr. Rex Ierusalem &c" [Done between 1737 and 1745 when the Grand Duke of Tuscany became the Emperor Francis I.]

Et l'autre des principales actions qui peuvent arriver pendant la campagne et en quartier d hiver en temps de guerre, tant pour 1'offensive que pour la deffensive, tirée des memoires et maximes des plus habiles generaux de ces deux derniers siecles redigée et mise en ordre. [Added at foot:] par le B^on De Theillieres qui en 1739 en a donné copie au trois regiment nouveau, des Bandes de Toscane, pour les instructions. Comme aussi a celui des Gardes.
