Scope and Contents
Latin American countries and regions respresented in this collection of posters include Brazil, the Caribbean, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Venezuela. The range of topics includes astronomy, banks, biography, children, description and travel, development, the "disappeared", education, environment, health, justice, literacy, military service, national history, students, unions and women. Several categories are grouped topically under the general geographic region of Central America, while other categories are broken out by a specific country.
Arrangement
The posters have been grouped by geographical areas and subjects. The posters date from the 1970s through the 2010s. Medium-format posters are shelved at call number Griffith Q109, folders 1-29, while smaller posters are at Griffith P96, folders 1-13 and larger posters at Griffith R18, folders 1-42 and Griffith S4:1-11.
