Biography of Frederick O. Magerkurth
A native Kansan born in Salina, Frederick O. Magerkurth attended the Southern School of Photography at McMinnville, Tennessee from 1911 to 1912. He began working as a portrait photographer in 1912 in Salina, Kansas. Through the course of his career he won numerous awards and had four of his photographs exhibited in Paris at the Salon International D'Art Photographique de Paris. Magerkurth retired from the profession in 1960.
