Overview

Margaret C. Merriweather, daughter of William and Sophia (Miller) Merriweather, was born February 28, 1883 at Reesville (Clinton County), Ohio. These three volumes of her diaries, which date from January 1, 1901 to April 29, 1903, describe her activities from approximately age 18 to age 20, while living with her parents and her younger sister Allie on a farm near Sabina in Clinton County. Her daily diary entries, recorded on 351 pages, describe her household chores, school and church attendance, social and leisure activities, holiday celebrations, travels to surrounding towns, the weather, local events, and the activities of her parents.
