Biography of David Darwin
David Darwin has been a professor at the University of Kansas since 1974, earning a distinguished professorship in 1990. After graduating from Cornell University he served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, serving for a year in Vietnam. Darwin has been involved in many engineering organizations in various leadership positions, including president of the American Concrete Institute, committee member for the American Institute of Steel Construction, and a member of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute Standards Comittee.
