Kansas Women Schoolteachers Project records
Overview
This collection, created from a Kansas Committee for the Humanities grant project conducted by the Kenneth Spencer Research Library's Kansas Collection, focuses on the history and influence of women schoolteachers in Kansas. Outcomes from the grant project included an exhibit ("Kansas Women Schoolteachers: Yesterday and Today") and several panel discussions with members of the public interacting with humanities scholars around the state. The collection contains bibliographies; copies of county records; application, reporting, and financial documents for administering the grant; programs and newsletters; and other related materials regarding research into women school teachers working in Kansas and the preparation of the traveling exhibit.
