Creek Nation school catalogue page
Overview
Single printed title page from the Catalogue of the Officers and Pupils of Tullahassee Manual Labor School, a boarding school formed in 1850 for the education of Creek Native Americans in Creek Nation, located in Indian Territory (later Oklahoma). After a fire, the school was reopened in 1883 as the Tullahassee Manual Labor School, with the cooperation of the Baptist Home Mission Society. The school remained open until 1924, the last ten years of its existence serving as a school for African Americans in Oklahoma.
