History of the Lawrence Woodwind Quintet

The Lawrence Woodwind group has been playing for the University of Kansas and around Lawrence since about 1969. The group functioned both as a quartet with four players and and quintet with five players at different periods in time. Around 2003, the group French horn player and manager was Stuart Levine, one of the originating members of the group. Other members of the group have included Sharon Learned on flute, David Ruhlen on bassoon, Paul Jordan on clarinet, and Barbara Jones on oboe.
