Overview
This collection contains various Cold War-era peace posters and artworks from various sources, countries, and organizations. Includes posters from religious organizations, such as Quaker and Mennonite groups, as well as organizations formed specifically for peace and against nuclear armament, and university and municipal groups.

Biography of Kurt Thurmaier
These posters were orginially owned by Kurt M. Thurmaier, a public adminstration professor who was an assistant and then associate professor at the University of Kansas from 1990 to 2002. Since 2009 he has served as the Chair of the Department of Public Administration at Northern Illinois University in Chicago, IL.
