History of A.C. Junior College
Arkansas City Junior College was founded in 1922, initially operating out of the basement of the Akransas City High School. Eventually due to growth, Galle-Johnson Hall was constructed in 1950, and in 1965 the college changed its name to Cowley County Community College and Vocational-Technical School.
