Personal papers of Ann Schofield
Ann Schofield is a Professor Emerita in the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies department at the University of Kansas. Schofield has worked in the history and American Studies departments as well. This collection contains teaching materials, readings, correspondence, and writing relating to her academic career.

Biography of Ann Schofield
Ann Schofield recieved her BA in history at Marywood College, a Masters in history at Georgetown University and her PhD in history at The State University of New York in Binghamton. She first came to the University of Kansas as a visiting lecturer in 1979, after serving at both the University of California's Berkeley and Davis campuses, as well as at the University of Paris XII. She became a faculty member at KU in 1980 after finishing her doctorate, and she became a full professor in 1998.
Schofield was inducted into the Women's Hall of Fame at KU in 1991, received the 2013 Louise Byrd Graduate Educator Award, and served as the director of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) graduate program. She retired to emeritus status in 2019.
