History of Doniphan County, Kansas

Doinphan County is the county in the northeastern most corner of Kansas, bordering the states of Missouri and Nebraska. The county was established in 1855, and its current county seat is the city of Troy. The county is considered part of the Kansas City, Missouri-Kansas metropolitian area.
