Overview

Brown graduated from the University of Kansas in 1888. He married Martha Snow, daughter of KU chancellor Francis Snow and they spent many years living in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia. This collection consists of a photograph album from Rhodesia, a notebook, clippings about Brown and Snow, a scrapbook of Rhodesia containing photographs and articles written by Snow, and correspondence from family and friends including Chancellors Snow and Joshua A. Lippincott, and scientists Lewis L. Dyche and William T. Hornaday. Also contained in this collection is a scrapbook about Dr. Harley J. Stacey, a physician in Leavenworth.
