Coates in Benton, Michigan; the inscription on the back of the photograph indicates the family lived in Morganville, Clay County, Kansas, and the donor notes that her grandfather, Erasmus Farley, was related to Cooper and served in the 5th Kansas Cavalry during the Civil War.
