Overview
Two brochures from the Blue Rapids Supply Company of Blue Rapids, Marshall County, Kansas. The brochures are for medical-grade plasters and pumice that could be used by dentists, hospitals, laboratories, orthopedists, and schools. Brochures include prices for different kinds of plaster and for the pumice, as well as shipping/freight prices. The September 1941 brochure includes a drawing of a Jayhawk bird as part of the logo on the front page.

History of the Blue Rapids Supply Company
The Blue Rapids Supply Company was started by Robert O. Klotz around 1940, operating out of a building at 507 Main Street in Blue Rapids, Marshall County, Kansas. The pumice supplied by the company was produced at a factory nearby, and the plasters were made at a local mill and elsewhere. Eventually, Klotz expanded the company to sell molding plaster for hobbyists, as well as rubber molds and other plaster products. The company distributed plaster to a four-state area including Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa.
Later, Klotz opened the Jayhawk Fireworks Company and operated a camping store out of the same building as the plaster supply company. Klotz and his wife Edith also published a Campground Unlimited Guide from 1951 until their retirement in 1970.
