Overview
Letter from George W. Johnson in Coffeyville, Kansas to his cousin Helen L. Hilton in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Johnson expresses gratitude to Hilton and her mother for taking care of his mother and discusses his activities since coming to Kansas, including architectural drawing for his father; carpenter work; and working at a couple drugstores. One pharmacy was located near Pittsburg; the one he is at at the time of writing was Powell, Flora and Company Drugstore in Coffeyville, located near the "Indian Nation" (Coffeyville is at the Kansas-Oklahoma border).
