Overview
Collection includes architectural design drawings and specifications created by TreanorHL, an architectural firm headquartered in Lawrence, Kansas. The collection also includes architectural plans compiled by TreanorHL as various firms were consolidated into the company, including Robertson and Ericson Architects; Peters, Harrison and Williams; GLPM Architects; the PKG Design Group; and Glenn, Livingood, and Penzier Architects. The designs represent public and private projects undertaken from 1960 to 2009 in Kansas and the broader region, including architectural projects related to the University of Kansas.

History of TreanorHL
Formerly known as H+L Architecture, TreanorHL has operated in Kansas since 1963. The architectural firm has grown to 11 locations across the United States and "provides services in architectural design, planning, interior design, historic preservation, civil engineering, and landscape architecture." The firm specializes in architecture dedicated to advanced industries, Greek life, health, justice, PreK-12 education, and higher education.

Processing Information
Materials arrived at Spencer rolled in bundles. Conservation staff flattened the drawings to better store and preserve the records. Because the collection included records created by a variety of architecture firms before they were consolidated under TreanorHL, processing staff ordered the compiled collection by date of creation to better find and access materials related to specific projects.
