Biography of Lorimor, Thomas

Thomas Lorimor, born in 1843, joined Company C, 17th Regiment, Iowa Infantry in 1862. He fought in the Civil War until he was captured by the Confederate Army in October 1864. He spent the rest of the war in prison at Andersonville, Georgia. While in prison, he developed an eye disease that left him partially blind. He was released and returned home in June 1865. In March 1867, he married Sarah C. Griffin.
