Biography of Larkin Milton Skaggs

Larkin Skaggs was born in 1831 in Green County Kentucky. He was a Baptist preacher who rode with William Quantrill's raiders during the Civil War. He was the only one of Quantrill's raiders killed when they burned the city of Lawrence, Kansas. He died August 21, 1863.
