Overview
Plats of the topography of Kansas Townships 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, of Ranges 10, 11, 12, 13; Township 13, of Range 17; with the addition of Townships 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, of Ranges 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, all south of the Baseline and east of the 6th Principal Meridan, in the State of Kansas. This includes portions of eastern Chase, Morris, and Davis (Geary) Counties; all of Lyon, Osage, Douglas, and Franklin Counties; and parts of Shawnee, Johnson, and Miami Counties. Includes boundary markers for the Diminished Reserve, Kansas Trust Lands, Wyandott [sic] Reserve, and Sac and Fox Trust Lands, including noting some lands marked out as being sold.

Scope and Contents
This platbook was used in preparing the Map Showing the Program of Public Surveys in Kansas and Nebraska (1866) published by the Surveyor Generals Office, Leavenworth, Kansas, August 25, 1866. Includes occasional hand-colored and hand-drawn details of topography, as well as information regarding property owners for various sections. Sometimes information regarding who was sold property has been annotated. Different hands writing in volume; most appears to be the same hand until the end of the volume.
Clippings from the Lawrence Journal (1877) appended. Map of Junction City, Kansas, and adjacent country included pasted into back of volume, undated.
