Scope and Contents
The text of this list is an agreement by the signatures to take their desired number of shares at $5 per share, "payable on demand when the permanent organization is effected." The Kansas Exposition Association probably culminated in the Kansas Valley Fair Association. Shareholders included most of the business and professional men in Lawrence in 1875. This list was acquired as part of the Josiah Miller papers.
