Scope and Contents
These volumes are compilations by members of the Watson Library staff of newspaper clippings dated 1861-1959 about James Lane and his descendants. Also included are reprints of articles from the Kansas State Historical Society publication, photographs, and a Christmas newsletter written by Arthur Lane Johnson, grandson.
Other descendants of Lane about whom there are clippings include his daughter, Annie Lane Johnson, Arthur Lane Johnson, and Marcy Lane Johnson-Golde, a great-granddaughter.
