Biography of Lawrence, William, bp.
William Lawrence is the son of Amos Adams and Sarah E. (Appleton) L. He married Julia Cunningham (d. 1927). Lawrence was a bishop of Massachusetts, author, dean of Episcopal Theological Seminary and Lawrence, Kansas was named after him. He was the father of William Appleton Lawrence, Bishop (1889-1968)
