The first, dated 8 July 1865 Grosvenor Gate [London], is 4 pages (1 sheet), indicating Disraeli's gladness that Austin was standing for Parliament. The second, dated 30 Mar, 4 pages (1 sheet, on mourning paper), praised Austin's new poem in ottava rime. Dating for the second item from his signature, "D" (Disraeli became Earl of Beaconsfield in 1876).
