Most of these black and white images are labeled on the back with dates and descriptions. Some have initials, R.E.B. or [JW] possibly James Wood, KBI investigator, and some are stamped D.D. McCleery Photographer.
Images include Lawrence police department vehicle with bullet holes labeled with case number 5-14985, a few images from the night of the shooting, and many photos of the site of the shooting taken a week later.

Black and white images of unknown origin showing a crowd gathered in the daytime around people speaking with microphones on the porch of the Gaslight Tavern, near where the shooting took place. One of the speakers is George Kimball, a Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) member who was running for Douglas County Sheriff.
Some of the images are marked with numbers on the back, and one has notes.
