Overview
John Pierce St. John served as the eighth governor of Kansas from 1879-1882. The volumes in this collection are compilations of various newspaper clippings and political cartoons documenting St. John's career after he left the office of governor. Also included is an obituary for Susan Jane St. John, his second wife and founder of the Ladies Reading Circle in Olathe, Kansas. These items were apparently collected by Mrs. Anna Champe of Garnett, Kansas.
