In 1959, Robert Park Mills founded the Robert Mills Literary Agency. Mills worked full time as an agent, representing a wide variety of science fiction writers, as well as other genres. In 1984, Robert Mills retired and sold the agency to Richard Curtis Associates. This collection contains correspondence, book agreements, and royalty contracts between the Robert Mills Literary Agency and authors.

Archives (letters received; some texts and proofs) of the literary magazine The Critical Quarterly. The collection documents submissions of material to the magazine; friendly personal news; literary gossip; academic life. Some material concerning the editors Brian Cox or A.E. Dyson rather than the Critical Quarterly. Most of the collection dates from 1958-1967; there are also some personal letters dating from 1953-1958.

This collection contains incoming and outgoing correspondence from 1926 to 1934, mostly in connection to Naomi Royde-Smith's publishing and writing career, but personal and other business correspondence is also present. The collection also contains some of Royde-Smith's short story manuscripts, household bills/receipts, royalty statements, invitations, correspondence written by/to Royde-Smith's husband Ernest Milton, and other miscellaneous papers.
