Overview A collection of tracts written 1607-1626 by Sir Charles Cornwallis (died 1629), an English courtier and diplomat in King James I's court. The tracts concern the Spanish kingdom and other political matters; letters to family members; Henry, Prince of Wales; and other topics. Cornwallis was ambassador to Spain in the early 1600s and was later treasurer of the household and otherwise attending Henry, Prince of Wales, until the prince's death in 1612.
