An artificial collection of manuscript drafts of poetry, correspondence, and other materials from a variety of poets and authors of the mid-20th century, purchased or otherwise acquired from a variety of sources and assembled by Spencer Research Library staff.
Larry Eigner poems and papers
American poet Larry Eigner, 1927-1996, wrote his poetry in an open form, sometimes referred to as "spatial poetry". This collection is primarily composed of a large number of his poems as well as rough drafts. Also included are some of Eigner's prose writings and his correspondence with poets, publishers and librarians, which give insight into his life and art.
River City Reunion audiovisual recordings
The River City Reunion was a large-scale cultural event held in Lawrence, Kansas in September 1987 that celebrated the town's contributions to the arts in the Midwest and a gathering of cross-generational counter-culture writers, musicians, and performers. This collection predominately contains audiovisual materials covering the event and a number of release forms associated with the audiovisual material.
