These volumes represent the personal correspondence of several Watkins employees, a record of correspondence with land agents employed by the company, and several volumes of letters from various business interests. These materials do not comprise a complete series. They are unique only by fact of their survival with the records that were stored in the Lawrence office. While not complete, researchers will have the opportunity to examine these materials, which provide brief glimpses into the operations of several businesses and the correspondence of various employees of the Watkins' business empire.
