BIOGRAPHY of Alberta Temple

Alberta Mae Temple was born Nov. 24, 1913 in Topeka, Kansas. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1931 and, in 1938, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washburn University. She served in the Phyllis Wheatly Bureau and, from approximately 1939-1945, she was a faculty member of Kansas Vocational School. In 1948, Temple earned a Master of Arts degree in Nutrition from the State University of Iowa. She then taught at Bishop College (Marshall, TX) from approximately 1948-1950 and at Kentucky State College (Frankfort, KY) from 1950-1957. Temple returned to Topeka where she worked as a dietitian at St. Francis Hospital. Alberta Temple died in 2007.
