Scope and Contents

From the Commissioners for the Affairs of Tangier, instructing Bland to report on the state of the garrison, the fortifications, and the town of Tangier. Forwarded by John Creed, Secretary.

Subjects: Appointing Bland Collector; ordering him to report on building the mole, to survey the military stores, to report on how the rules for Corporation and Garrison have been executed, to revoke the credit of the Earl of Inchiquin, to have the muster-master report on those run to the Moors, to make a last inspection in October 1676. Includes Memorandum in Latin and English that on May 27 Charles II [l675] Bland took oath before the Chancellor to perform the office of Comptroller of the Revenues, etc., at Tangier.
