Correspondence
Scope and Contents
Mostly outgoing letters organized in rough alphabetical order, typically though not always by the name of the addressee. In some cases, the name of the subject of the letter, as with letters of recommendation, was deemed more relevant. The incoming requests for a reference/recommendation have also been included.
Files may also hold letters of congratulations, thank you letters to legislative co-sponsors, letters notifying someone of an important new event, and letters notifying interested parties of actions taken by Congressman Moore. Correspondence also can be found scattered in smaller amounts in other boxes, particularly in the Earmarks series (box 20).
