Voting Records
Scope and Contents
Congressional Voting Record analysis, both in general and specific to Dennis Moore's votes, for the 106th through 111th Congresses.
"For the Record" files are generic records documenting how each House member voted, if they voted at all, on a piece of legislation. Each is identified as a Democrat, Republican, or Independent. Includes an abstract of the issue for each vote. "Voting Record" files are organized by category of issue, such as ABORTION/CONTRACEPTION, and include abstracts of the bills voted on within that category, the overall voting results, and Dennis Moore’s vote, specifically. Files do not contain other documentation of the discussion before the voting. Box 61 contains some handouts on various specific voting issues.
Some duplicate materials may be present in the series; additional Voting Records files can be found in Box 35 in the Public Events series.
