The American Naturalist journal began in 1867. This peer-reviewed publication publishes articles in the fields of ecology, evolution, and behavior research. The journal is published through the University of Chicago Press on behalf of the American Society of Naturalists; Robert Holt served on the editorial board in the 1990s.
