Greiffenstein Alternative Elementary School, spiral bound planner, 2012 - 2013

Greiffenstein is an alternative school for students whose behavior is difficult to manage in a neighborhood school EHling's son attended this school and its middl school equivalent, Wells Alternative Middle School. In Special Education terms, this school was a restrictive setting that promotes what research refers to as "social deviance training." Students learn maladaptive behavior from one another without having appropriate peer models for adaptive behavior.
