This series relates to the unsuccessful effort to resist a plan by the University of Kansas to demolish old houses on the 1300 block of Ohio Street in order to build two new Scholarship Halls. After several years of argument and counter-argument, the decision to proceed with the demolitions and new construction was approved by Kansas Governor Bill Graves in the early 2000s.
