Custodial History
This version of the state seal was one of three copies made by a metal worker in Topeka and given to John G. Haskell, at the time State Architect and designer of the east wing of the State Capitol building. Haskell's daughter gave the copper seal to Watson Library at the University of Kansas; Haskell had also designed several buildings on KU's campus.
