Quitclaim by Wentliana, daughter of Howel Vahan and widow of Madoc ap Seycil to the monks of Abbey Dore, Herefordshire of her widow's third of the 4 1/2 bovates of land on Grosmund hill, which Madoc gave to them for his burial "For her soul and the soul of Madoc.

Dated from mention of Madoc's bequest in 1270 document (see folder 11); also, hand indicates mid to late 13th century.
A contemporary female Welsh name was Gwenllian; Seycil (Seysil, Seicel, Seisyll) is presently spelt Cecil; is Vahan Vaughn?
One endorsement reads: Grosmont & [L]anvez[?]
Physical details: seal on tag in good condiction. Black, oval, 3.9x2.5 cm, one-sided. Device: Bird on twig. Legend: Gwant[?]lana fili[?]Ie heweli.
