Recto includes autographs from William Leask (1812-1884), a minister; James [Culross?]; [Nu? de Frie?]; J. [Loud?] [London?]; W. S. Lewis; John Lonsdale (1788-1867), bishop of Lichfield, dated 1810; and a partial letter to Mr. H. J. [Bagot?] from Samuel Prideaux Tregelles. Tregelles (1813-1875), a biblical scholar, sends his kind regards to Bagot's father.
Verso includes Peter [Bayer?]'s autograph and two letters: to F Naylor, Esq. from Robert Michael Ballantyne in Edinburgh, Scotland, dated March 20, 1865 (Ballantyne (1825-1894), an author, requesting permission to stay at the Bell Rock Lighthouse); and from John Rae in Edinburgh, Scotland, dated April 9, 1866. Rae (1813-1893), an explorer, says that he is enclosing a photograph (not included) and states why he was unable to avail himself of an invitation.
