Gen. Thomas Ewing, 1997 - 2007

Research materials relating to Civil War Union Brigadier General and later US Congressman Thomas Ewing. Ewing was originally from Ohio, but moved to Kansas in 1857 and worked in the law firm of William Tecumseh Sherman. The file includes photographs of a plaque about Order No. 11; Armitage's notes about Ewing; bibliography; photocopies of late 19th-century newspapers; photocopies of academic publications; correspondence with the National Archives-Central Plains Region; and newspaper clippings.
